Registration Opening July 15
Registration:
Online registration for the 2020-2021 school year will open on July 13th. Please be sure to complete online registration before July 31st.
All students (except new students) must register online. If you do not have access to a computer or the internet, we will have computers available in the elementary building Aug 5 – 12 between the hours of 8-2:30 M-Th and 8-11 Friday.
ALL NEW STUDENTS must come in to the school to register between August 5 – 12.
You must have your schoolinsight login and password to register your child. If you have never registered for a login, please contact the school office and they can send you a welcome e-mail with all of the needed information.
To register your student, simply login to your child's account at https://www.schoolinsight.com/common/login.aspx , click "Online Registration” and follow the steps. On step one, Online Registration Form, every field must be completed. If the field is not applicable, just type in N/A. *Note- you will not be able to update grayed out contacts because they are listed as a contact for another student.
There are several forms that parents may need as well. Students entering grades PK (1st year), K, 6, and 9th grades are required to have a physical. Students entering grades K, 2, 6 and 9 must have a dental exam. Students entering an Illinois school for the first time, including Kindergarten, must have an eye exam. These forms and others can be accessed through the links below or through the digital locker at www.schoolinsight.com. Please return forms to the school office as soon as they are completed. These can be mailed or dropped off at either office.
Payment may be made online with a credit card, mailed or dropped off to the school office. If possible, print the registration fees page to include with your payment and make separate checks for students in different buildings, ie: Elem/MS and HS. If you are direct certified for free/reduced lunches, registration fees are waived. If you are filling out an application for free/reduced lunches, this can be done online. After it is reviewed, your fees will be calculated accordingly. It may take several days before your application is reviewed.
We have implemented a 1:1 computer program with our 7th-12th grade students. What this means is that all DeLand-Weldon students who fall in that grade range will have a school-issued Chromebook laptop which they will take with them from class-to-class throughout the school day. They will also take this Chromebook home with them each day just as they would with a book or folder. There will be a $50 Chromebook fee that will be charged each year at registration. At the end of three years, if fees are paid in full, students will own their own laptop.
PE Uniform Requirements

Students in grades 6-12 are required to wear PE clothes during PE class in order to receive their full points for the day. The guidelines for what is considered to be an acceptable uniform are as follows:
1. Grey t-shirt of any kind (school appropriate) can be designated as a student’s PE shirt
2. Black or maroon shorts or sweats can be worn for PE
3. Athletic shoes with a non-marking sole
