Public Notice
Public notice is hereby given that DeLand-Weldon CUSD 57 will receive sealed bids for offers
to complete new ceiling and lighting systems upgrades at the high school building at the district
campus located at 304 East Illinois Route 10 DeLand, IL 61839.
Offers will be received at the district office, located at 304 East Illinois Route 10 DeLand, IL
61839, before 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Offers should be
sealed and marked “DELAND-WELDON CUSD 57 HIGH SCHOOL NEW CEILING AND
LIGHTING UPGRADES” on the outside lower left-hand corner of the envelope.
Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days
after submission. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received, to
determine the lowest responsible bidder by considering alternates, or reject any or all bids.
Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Illinois
Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing under the contract, and
shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS130/1-12).
Bid documents may be viewed online or purchased on the AEX Planroom site
(www.aexplanroom.com). Bid documents will be available on or before Thursday April 4, 2024.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday April 11, 2024, at the
project site located at 304 East Illinois Route 10 DeLand, IL 61839.
Bids will be opened publicly at the district office at 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time on Thursday,
April 25, 2024.
